Joe joined the Focus team in February 2016, after graduating from Lincoln Technical School (Somerville campus) with A+ Certification in Computer Hardware Support. And since joining Focus, Joe has also gotten his Disaster Recovery Axcient Certification.Joe works hard providing our clients with remote support on a variety of issues, opting to be a jack-of-all-trades instead of picking one specialty. Joe also has over 15 years of customer service under his belt working as a customer-facing restaurant manager. In his previous field, Joe not only helped to boost sales and productivity wherever he was assigned, but was also always the person involved with all of his employees from day one, communicated job expectations, and was actually the primary point of contact for any and all IT problems that any of the 17 locations in his franchise might have had. Joe actively applies those skills to every call he takes feeling as though, "empathyzing with other people seems to be a lost art," that he is determined to bring back. "Working in the IT field is something entirely new and challenging, but that's exactly what I wanted to do. It's a field I genuinely care about and am excited to be part of every day." When asked what made him want to switch fields from restaurants to IT Joe said: "I have to focus and figure out what's happening right now and solve it in the moment. I'm really glad to be able to use my mind to help someone every day."Becoming part of the Focus team and starting this next chapter in his life Joe says, "was always my dream job. To do something with computers and to use the knowledge I’ve gained over the years. I would very much like to take what I know and add onto it by taking on more projects. I really enjoy being one of the Focus team."When Joe isn't helping a customer at the Help Desk or honing his skills, he loves to play with his neices and nephews, walking with his dog, playing video games, and bowling with his team in their 20-team bowling league.
