Microsoft Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Microsoft Engineer to join our growing team! The Microsoft Engineer will be an integral part of a collaborative team that will plan, design and implement O365 solutions for our customers. The successful hire will be experienced on both cloud and on-premise IT systems and will promote innovative solutions to our customers.      

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the assessment, planning, design, testing, and technical documentation for the implementation, support, and migration of enterprise messaging, and collaboration tool sets to Office 365
  • Server as the subject matter expert to advise and guide our customers, as well as internal team, on how to successfully navigate to the new environment with the least amount of disruption and impact to our customers. This includes migrating to newer versions of Microsoft Exchange on-premises as well as migrating customers to Office 365 (O365)
  • Gather and assess business requirements, develop and present solutions, produce design and migrating strategy documents, and provide guidance and knowledge to our customers
  • Work directly with customers to identify their requirements, understand the current environment, and perform a gap analysis
  • Build out and configuration of the solution in preparation for the Pilot, Early Adopter and Velocity Migration
  • Familiar with planning, deploying and supporting Microsoft MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)
  • Provide high-level training/knowledge transfer to customer
  • Perform the Pilot / Early Adopter migration and support the participants to ensure a successful transition. This includes providing post-migration configuration of the migrated accounts, developing a migration report and reporting on the success / failure of that migration to the customer the following morning

Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft collaborate portal including Office 365, Axure AD Connect and SharePoint online
  • 0365 migration and deployment experience
  • Experience conducting and supporting O365 migrations, authentication and identity management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts in a simple and straightforward manner
  • Knowledge of the different options available within the Office 365 Suite of products
  • Experience with deployment and configuration of Microsoft Intune is a plus
  • Experience implementing O365 Backup Solutions
  • Experience working in virtual environments with vSphere and HyperV

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience with Microsoft Office 365
  • BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA ) and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred
