Sales Support Specialist

We're looking for a Sales Support Specialist to join our growing team!  The Sales Support Specialist will support the Outside Account Executives within the sales organization and be part of a fun and collaborative team.

Some Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Works with the Account Executives and customers to understand requirements, generate quotes and process sales orders
  • Assists the Outside Sales team with sales-related duties (e.g., calls, quotes) to enable more outbound sales activity, as needed
  • Uses vendor tools to assist in configuration of hardware including servers, storage arrays, network switches, etc.
  • Maintains and develops product knowledge and vendor certifications to maximize efficiency
  • Develops active customer relationships from the inside, while adding value to each customer by proactively seeking issue resolution
  • Handle all OEM deal registrations for applicable opportunities
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Dell/EMC, Cisco, Barracuda, VMware and other technical products/services and can position solutions successfully
  • Leverages relationships with vendors to remain up to date on all promotions and vendor pricing programs (e.g., State/other Contracts, Rebates and Vendor Registration programs)
  • Creates and input opportunities into CRM system
  • Extracts, organizes, and captures new customer information to initialize 30-60-90-day maintenance contract renewals for new and existing customers
  • Intimate with various manufacturer’s warranty and warranty uplift programs, including Dell/EMC, Cisco, HPE, VMware, and more
  • Acts as a liaison between the Focus sales force, purchasing and vendors regarding maintenance contract issues
  • Other sales operation and purchasing duties as needed

Experience and Education:

  • 1-3 years’ experience with a Value-Added Reseller or Original Equipment Manufacturer
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college/university in business, computer science or technology
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, AutoTask, ChannelOnline, SharePoint and/or other collaborative IT tools
