Shawn joined Focus Technology in March 2015, bringing along his 25 years of IT experience. As the Senior Help Desk Consultant, he aids clients with a wide assortment of computer-related problems. He communicates with them via phone and email, guiding them in resolving issues and requests such as changing company email passwords and rebuilding networks.
An ever-present challenge at the help desk is adapting to interacting with different systems, setups and networks that can vary wildly on a client-by-client basis, but Shawn uses it as an opportunity to demonstrate flexibility.
Born in New Jersey, Shawn now lives in downtown Boston. He enjoys outdoor activities such as sports, camping, fishing and golfing. He served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years, working in data processing.
Shawn’s biggest piece of advice for average computer users is to restart their machines when a problem arises. Surprisingly, a simple restart is sometimes all it takes to eradicate minor nuisances.
